"Traffic management at this location currently consists of three-way stop go during working hours and the contractor’s traffic management personnel are endeavouring to keep traffic moving to the greatest extents possible.

"Traffic management measures at night consist of the use of 3 way traffic lights. Considering the nature of the works, the location and the extremely heavy traffic volumes on the N15 significant delays to traffic is to be expected.

Roadworks are expected to continue for several weeks.

“Sligo County Council personnel are continuing to liaise with the contractor in relation to this matter.

“It is the contractor’s intention to have 2 way traffic in place at the N15 Rathcormack over the Easter Bank Holiday Weekend (Evening of Good Friday to Easter Monday).”
