Fianna Fáil Minister Norma Foley has met with the three Fianna Fáil first-time candidates who have been ratified to represent the party in the upcoming local elections on June 7.

The three candidates include Anne O’Sullivan for the Tralee LEA, Ken O’Sullivan for Kenmare LEA, and Michael Leane for Listowel LEA.

Ms O’Sullivan works as Minister Foley’s parliamentary assistant and manages her constituency office; Ken O’Sullivan is a well-established Beaufort businessman, while Michael Leane is the well-known proprietor of Kirby’s Public House in Ballyheigue.

Commenting on the Fianna Fáil campaign team as the local election countdown gathers pace, Minister Foley said the three candidates are an excellent addition to its sitting team of councillors who are also seeking re-election. She said they all bring considerable community, business, and voluntary experience.

“Each of them is familiar with and passionate about tackling the issues that are important to us all in our everyday lives and I know they would do an excellent job representing local people on Kerry County Council,” Minister Foley said.
