Temperatures could reach highs of 16 to 20 degrees today, with sunny conditions continuing.

Met Éireann forecasts a dry day with some mist and fog to clear this morning before cloud and spells of hazy sunshine develops, the best in Leinster and Munster.

Lowest temperatures will drop between 7 to 11 degrees overnight before another warm day tomorrow, with temperatures reaching further highs of 18 to 22 degrees.

It will be mostly dry, settled and warm through to Saturday, though unsettled conditions will roll in from the Atlantic this weekend as rain and showers return.

Temperatures will cool into early next week, though will remain between 17 to 21 degrees on Saturday.

Met Éireann says current indications suggest Sunday will bring a mix of cloud and sunny spells with showers or longer spells of rain.

Some showers could turn heavy with the chance of isolated thunderstorms as highest temperatures reach between 15 to 19 degrees in light and variable breezes.

Further outbreaks of rain or showers with some chance of thunderstorms will take place on Monday, with highs of 13 to 17 degrees.

Met Éireann forecasts that low pressure looks set to dominate the weather pattern into midweek with periods of rain or showers with some heavy and thundery falls possible.

It will potentially becoming drier later in the week. Temperatures look likely to trend close to or a little below average.
