Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann looking for up to 1,500 volunteers from across Wexford
Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann is coming to County Wexford this summer and they’re looking for up 1,500 volunteers from all across the county.
The Fleadh will take place primarily in Wexford Town from Sunday, August 4 to Sunday, August 11 with over 500,000 people expected to visit the county during this time. To cater to the large crowds, the Fleadh team are recruiting between 1,000 and 1,500 volunteers to fill a variety of roles such as street ambassadors, car parking, catering, Irish speaking volunteers, photographers, Access volunteers and customer service.
“Although the main event will be taking place in Wexford Town, this is an all county event and the whole county will benefit economically from the Fleadh. Volunteers are the heart of the Fleadh,” said Eimear Kennedy while speaking at the Gorey Kilmuckridge Municipal District meeting in April.
