See inside the 4-bed Wexford home being auctioned off for charity with a guide price of €240,000
All proceeds from the sale of Ballytramon, Castlebridge, Co Wexford, are to go to charities like The Donkey Sanctuary Ireland, the ISPCA and the RNLI
A number of charities are set to benefit to the tune of nearly a quarter of a million euro as a striking four-bed house ten minutes from Wexford town goes under the hammer next week.
One of the more unusual sales that he's handled, Declan O’Leary of Sherry Fitzgerald O’Leary Kinsella in Enniscorthy will be looking after the online auction, with all proceeds from the sale of the property going directly to charity.
"The story is that the owner of the house passed away two or three years ago,” he explains. “While they do have family members, siblings, in the area, they decided to leave the proceeds from the sale of the house to a number of charities including the Donkey Sanctuary, the ISPCA and the RNLI, as well as a few others.”
While the proposed beneficiaries of the sale make it an interesting story, Mr O’Leary anticipates that there should be strong interest in the property regardless.
"It's a fine house and it has a nice sea view to the back,” he says. “I’m sure there’ll be strong interest in this one.”
A detached property, Ballytramon is situated just minutes from Castlebridge and a ten minute drive to Wexford town.

With a beautiful south-west facing rear garden, it has wonderful rural and sea views from a raised balcony which is likely to be a real centrepiece for any prospective owners.
The home features approximately 164 sq.m. of living space and certainly has an abundance of character. While it's conceded that some aspects of the property may be in need of modernising, it’s certainly the ideal project for someone in the market for a new home. On entrance to the hallway, immediately to the right, lies the first bedroom and bathroom. To the rear is a kitchen which leads to an open plan dining/sitting room area with sliding doors to the rear balcony.
Down the hallway lies three well-proportioned double bedrooms, with the master enjoying its own ensuite. There is also a direct stairway to the basement below, providing more storage space.
The property will be auctioned online on May 16 at 3 p.m. on Offr. To register, contact Sherry Fitzgerald O’Leary Kinsella in Enniscorthy on 0539237322.
