Six arrested as gardaí seize €180k worth of drugs, along with cash, three horses and 13 cars in Dublin

Gardaí in Dublin have arrested six people following the seizure of €180,000 worth of drugs, three horses and 13 vehicles.

The value of the massive stash of illicit substances is estimated to be €180,000.

Gardaí conducted a multi-agency operation within the Coolock District on Thursday, April 25.

The operation involved personnel from Coolock District with support from the DMR North Divisional Unit and a number of national Garda units.

"A number of searches were conducted with the aim of disrupting the sale and supply of drugs in the Coolock area,” gardaí said.

An estimated €180,000 worth of combined drugs was found, including €130,000 of suspected cannabis, €25,000 cocaine and €25,000 worth of heroin.

Cash and designer clothing was also seized.

A number of checkpoints were put in place during the day which resulted in the seizure of 13 vehicles.

A number of road traffic offences were detected and three horses were seized by Gardaí on welfare grounds.

Of the six arrests made, two men appeared before the Courts in respect of outstanding warrants, while the remaining four men were released without charge.

A file will now be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.

Investigations are ongoing.
