Refrigerated container loaded with meat worth €150k stolen in Dublin

A refrigerated container with meat products to the value of €150,000 inside was stolen from a petrol station in Co Dublin on Saturday morning.

Gardaí in Swords are appealing for information in relation to the theft of the container and its contents that occurred at the rear of a petrol station in Turvey, Donabate, Co. Dublin on Saturday.

The container, which had meat products to the value of €150,000, was removed from the rear of the petrol station and attached to a Volvo truck cab at approximately 9am.

It is believed that the truck and cab headed towards the north of the country.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have information in relation to this incident to come forward.

“Any person who may have witnessed any unusual activity in Turvey, Donabate on the morning of Saturday 4th May, 2024 is asked to contact Swords Garda Station on 01 666 4700, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda station,” a garda spokesperson said.

“Investigations are ongoing.”
