124ac of ancient Farney farmland guided at €1.8m

Castleblayney holding comes with two houses and plenty of potential

The vacant two-storey house on the 124ac farm at Tullynamalra, Castleblayney, Co Monaghan.

A substantial farm at Tullynamalra, Castleblayney, Co Monaghan has certainly been a farm for a long time.

Tullynamalra is mentioned by PW Joyce in his masterly work Irish Names of Place, first published in 1869. He says it is a form of Tullach na Manra, ‘the hill of the mangers or stalls’, which would indicate that it wasn’t just yesterday livestock were farmed in this place.
