Quotes back by 5c/kg due to bank holiday price reset

“They are doing an awful lot of grumbling about prices and not being able to sell it at the other end” — this is the explanation offered by one factory agent from the south in relation to why his quotes were back 5c/kg for both bullocks and heifers on Monday morning.

He wasn’t the only one with bad news on factory quotes over the weekend, with news filtering through from across the country that factories all over had taken the opportunity of the bank holiday weekend to reset their prices.
