Paul Auster, screenwriter and novelist best known for The New York Trilogy, dies aged 77
US novelist and screenwriter Paul Auster has died of complications from lung cancer at his home in Brooklyn on Tuesday evening, aged 77.
Auster was one of the few novelists to combine postmodernism with popular appeal in works such as The New York Trilogy and The Music of Chance.
