Green light for improvement works at Leitrim GAA county ground

Planning permission has been granted for improvement works at Avant Money Pairc Sean Mac Diarmada.

Páirc Seán Mac Diarmada is a GAA stadium in Carrick-on-Shannon, County Leitrim and is home to Leitrim GAA's football and hurling teams.

Leitrim County Council has granted planning permission for a number of improvement works to be carried out at the ground.

The works will include the removal of existing turnstiles, entrance gates and boundary wall to be replaced with new turnstiles, boundary wall, railing and a meeting room.

The meeting room will include toilets, a kitchen and office.

Other work includes the construction of a new storage shed, a new toilet block, a new tv gantry; erect signage at the proposed entrance and all ancillary works associated with the works.

Leitrim County Council granted the planning permission subject to eight conditions.
