Planning permission has been granted for the erection of two new telecom masts in County Leitrim.

The applications have been approved by Leitrim County Council.

Vantage Towers Limited applied to erect an 18 metre high lattice tower together with antennae, dishes, and associated telecommunications equipment and all enclosed by security fencing at Sunnagh More, Drumloughan, Cloone, County Leitrim.

Planning permission was granted subject to seven conditions.

Meanwhile, On Tower Ireland Limited has been granted permission the removal of an existing 30 metres lattice antennae support structure to be replaced by a new 33 metres lattice antennae support structure at Dromore, Carrick on Shannon, County Leitrim.

The application also includes antennas, remote radio units (RRU'S), dishes, cable ladder, gantry poles, supporting fixtures, concrete foundation and all associated site development.

The application details the works will provide highspeed wireless data and broadband services for the local area.

Leitrim County Council granted planning permission subject to five conditions.
