As a daughter, there are few people in life who know quite how to push your buttons like your mum. Indeed, as the saying goes: If it’s not one thing, it’s your mother. Although, perhaps if you were to ask mum, would she maybe say exactly the same about having a daughter?

Being ready to flip the question, and see life from the other person’s point of view, just might be what ends up helping mums and daughters to get on better, according to a new book on the subject, penned by a real life sparring mother and daughter.
