Students are dismantling their protest camp that shut down the campus of Trinity College Dublin for nearly a week after the university agreed to work towards cutting ties with Israel.

An agreement was reached between the student-led Trinity Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) group and the college on Wednesday afternoon, following five days in which students camped in the central Fellows’ Square and the publlic was excluded from the campus – including the world-famous Book of Kells Exhibition.

Students’ union president László Molnárfi said: “The agreement is that Trinity College Dublin will work towards complete divestment from Israel. This will be done by various ways. What they could divest from right now they've done, so they've divested from the suppliers.”
