Garry Ringrose is poised to make his Leinster comeback against the Ospreys this weekend as Leo Cullen’s men bid to reassert their bid to regain their URC title.

The Irish midfielder has only played once since January due to shoulder trouble but trained fully last weekend and was, for a time, in contention to feature in the Champions Cup semi-final win against Northampton.

However, Leinster decided not to take the risk but with another week of full contact ahead, he is likely to run out against Ospreys, with the medium targets the Champions Cup final against Toulouse at the end of the month, as well as the URC play-off run-in.

However, James Ryan remains on the casualty list while it may be another week before full-back Hugo Keenan’s recovery from a lingering hip issue is risked in a match situation.

There was other good news for Leinster as the knocks suffered by Ciarán Frawley and Joe McCarthy in the final quarter did not prevent them returning to training.

Jimmy O’Brien also came through the game at the weekend with no issues after his return from a neck injury while Tommy O'Brien has returned to full training from a hamstring injury.
