Glendalough Craft Fair

The all new Glendalough Craft Fair will showcase the very talented crafters from around the country on Sunday, May 12, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. We invite crafters to join a vibrant new craft fair this May in the Glendalough Valley at the Brockagh Resource Centre. Taekwon-Do at Laragh

Laragh Taekwon-Do is running the fantastic ITF Kids Development Program for the 4s to 8s, it covers topics such as physical skills, mind skills, independence skills, nutrition awareness and of course Taekwon-Do Skills. The program also has three extra modules namely Danger Awareness, Stranger Awareness and Bullying Awareness.

We also run the full International Taekwon-Do Federation syllabus including pattern, sparring, power and special technique for our 10s upward and teenagers.

Bright Stars Baby and Toddler Group

Why not come along to our baby and toddler group on Wednesday mornings at 10.30 a.m. Each week this group will provide a welcoming and lively space for parents and children to gather and grow. Our activities will include ‘messy play’, story and song, games (guest speakers), snacks, tidy-up and new equipment which will allow both you as the parent/carer and your child to meet friends, explore new things and learn. For some parents, grandparents and carers, the weekly catch-up and opportunity for children to play and make new friends is enough. Laragh Tea Dance

Laragh Glendalough Active Retirement Group are hosting the Spring Laragh Tea Dance on Sunday, May 19, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. with refreshments in the Brockagh Resource Centre, Laragh. There will be dancing all afternoon to music by the Wicklow Man. Admission €10.The active retirement group meets every Tuesday morning from 10.45 a.m. 12.15 p.m. in the Brockagh Centre. So if you fancy a chat, a cuppa and some light exercise, dancing and music come along on Tuesdays. We always welcome new members to join our group. We would like to encourage anyone who loves arts and crafts to share your skills with other members, come along and join us. Blessing of the graves, Brockagh will take place on Sunday, June 16, after 11.30 a.m. Mass. Blessing of the graves, Glendalough will take place Friday, June 21, at 7 p.m.

Pilgrim Walks

Glendalough Hermitage Centre celebrating St Kevin’s Day June 1.

Following the tradition of pilgrimage, a series of walks has been organised to mark St Kevin’s Day on Saturday, June 1, in Glendalough. Participants will walk towards Glendalough following a choice of seven different routes which will merge along the way with other walkers from the same area.

A night of song, music and memories with performances by: The Ger Cooper memorial folk group and Rathdrum parish choir and Liam Kinsella and Three’s harmony and John and Denis Nolan and various other guests will take place on Sunday, May 26, at 7 p.m. in St Mary’s and St Michael’s parish church Rathdrum.
