Wicklow pub once voted ‘Best Bar in the World’ gets green light for revamp

The bar once awarded the title of the ‘Best Bar in the World’ by the travel guide Lonely Planet has been given the green light by Wicklow County Council for a full revamp of the premises.
Bray’s Harbour Bar, which first opened in 1871, has in the past served a host of famous faces from Brendan Behan, The Dubliners, Sinead O’Connor and Shane MacGowan to Mary Coughlan and Christy Moore.
