Wexford FC Cup

Moyne Rangers dumped holders North End United out of the Wexford FC Cup with a 3-2 win in their quarter-final clash in Billy Browne Park on Sunday.

Kamil Kutiewicz put the Enniscorthy outfit ahead in the 15th minute, and they immediately added a second through Conor McCarney.

Eoin Rhodes gave North End hope when he netted in the 72nd minute, but Ryan Mahon restored Moyne’s two-goal cushion eight minutes later.

Gary Delaney scored in injury time as North End battled to keep their cup hopes alive, but Rangers held out to secure a memorable victory.

Shamrock Rovers also booked their place in the final four when they recovered from losing a two-goal advantage to see off Bunclody on penalties at Church Road.

Shane Cullen gave the visitors the lead in the 19th minute, and Raphael Abidoye doubled their advantage on the half-hour mark.

Bunclody rallied, however, and they were back on level terms before the break through a Joe Finn double.

The second-half and extra-time didn’t produce any further goals so it was left to spot-kicks, with Rovers prevailing 4-1 in the shoot-out.

Forth Celtic ran out 3-0 winners against local rivals Wexford Bohemians at ‘The Brute’ Walsh Park, with Ryan Busher netting twice, either side of a Lee Busher goal.

Ferns United ‘B’ complete the semi-final line-up after overcoming Courtown Hibs ‘B’ 5-4 on penalties after a scoreless draw.

Gwyn Jones Cup

Forth Celtic ‘C’ and Campile United ‘B’ will contest the Gwyn Jones Cup final after they came through their respective final four clashes on Sunday.

The Murrintown side overcame Shelburne United ‘B’ at St. Leonards’ ground in Ballycullane, with Anthony Hayes and Ryan Murphy scoring in the first-half and Conor Coleman adding to their tally in the 63rd minute.

Campile United saw off St. Joseph’s ‘B’ 2-0 in Hollygrove, with their goals coming from Eoin Aylward and Mark O’Leary in the opening ten minutes of the second-half.
