Division 3

Ballymurn Celtic moved up to top spot in Division 3 on Sunday when they beat Shamrock Rovers 2-0 at Crossabeg-Ballymurn Community Field.

Brody Murphy and Patrick Redmond hit the back of the net late in the first-half and the hosts safely navigated the second period.

Fastnet Rovers, who were the pacesetters going into the weekend, lost 2-1 away to Oylegate United. Lee Kehoe and Jamie Ronan scored for the home side, while Fionn Byrne netted for Rovers.

Fastnet proved too strong for bottom side Enniscorthy Town at Pearse Park on Thursday evening, winning 4-0. Seán Gaul broke the deadlock in the 14th minute and Ben White made it 2-0 before the interval.

White grabbed his second with 20 minutes remaining and David McDonagh completed their tally late on.

Camolin Celtic kept their slim title hopes alive with a 1-0 win over Moyne Rangers in Billy Browne Park on Sunday. Ashley Tully got the all-important goal with just seven minutes on the clock.

A John Murphy goal was enough for Shamrock Rovers to see off Oylegate United at Peter Quinn Park on Thursday, while Enniscorthy Town got their first win on the board as they beat local rivals Moyne Rangers.

James Molloy and Eamon Cashe got the goals for Town in their 2-0 win at Billy Browne Park.

An early Josh Delaney goal proved to be the difference between the sides as Duncannon edged out Gorey Celtic 1-0 on Sunday.

Division 3A

Having been previously unbeaten, Bree United lost their second game in succession on Sunday, with both losses coming against title rivals.

Jamie Hudson grabbed an injury-time winner for table-toppers New Ross Town as they overcame Bree 2-1 at St. Mary’s Secondary School.

Cillian Thomas broke the deadlock for the hosts on the stroke of half-time, but Seán Rochford looked to have rescued a point when he levelled matters in the 81st minute.

Bunclody AFC picked up a big three points against Bree in Macmine on Wednesday evening, condemning the home side to their first defeat of the season.

Gavin Sludds gave the hosts the lead in the eighth minute, but Steven Ryan levelled matters midway through the first-half.

Joe Roberts edged the visitors in front just past the hour mark, but Kevin Ring looked to have rescued a point when he hit the back of the net in the 88th minute.

The Bunclody response was instant, however, and Steven Ryan grabbed the winner just one minute later.

Bunclody picked up another win on Sunday as they proved much too good for Cushinstown, winning 7-0 at Church Road.

Jamie Walsh, Steven Ryan and Patrick Somers all netted doubles, while Conor Thorpe got the other goal.

A Danny O’Reilly hat-trick helped Rosslare Strand to a 4-2 success against Blackwater. Mark Buckley got their other goal, while Ollie Murphy netted twice for Blackwater.

Ben Redmond (two) and Robert McGuinness got the goals for Blackwater as they won 3-1 in Fethard on Sunday.

Christopher Molloy scored for the home side.

Division 4

Crossabeg AFC missed out on the chance of claiming the Division 4 crown on Sunday when they were beaten by title rivals Gorey Rangers in Altura Credit Union Park.

Goals from Caleb Byrne-Murphy and Oisín Woolmington earned the north county side a 2-0 victory.

The title will still go to Crossabeg if they win their final game of the season, and they moved a step closer to the silverware with a hard-fought 1-0 win over Curracloe United on Tuesday evening of last week.

Mark Heffernan was the hero as he netted a 90th-minute winner. Early goals from Jamie McMahon and Seán Houghton earned Carne FC a 2-1 win over The Ballagh United. Craig Davitt halved the deficit four minutes before the break.

Division 4A

Bridge Rovers and Ajax Athletic shared the spoils after an eight-goal thriller in The Bogside on Sunday.

The visitors led 3-0 at the break thanks to goals from Christopher Donaghy, Willie Dobbs and James Whitney, but Rovers stormed back with four goals in the last 20 minutes to lead 4-3.

Daragh Brownrigg, Cody Doran, Darragh Malone and Adam Murphy netted for the Castlebridge side, but there was a sting in the tail when Donaghy grabbed his second in the 95th minute to rescue a point.

Wexford Bohemians won 3-1 away to Caim United on Thursday evening.

Kyle Turner opened the scoring for the visitors with just one minute on the clock and, although David Frankin levelled matters in the 15th minute, goals from Aaron Walsh and Jason Gordon sealed the deal.

Youths Division 1

Kilmore United picked up their first win of the season when overcoming Corach Ramblers 3-1 in Abbie Troy Park on Tuesday of last week.

Ruairí Moore fired the hosts in front in the tenth minute, but Diarmuid Wall responded 15 minutes later.

Richard Goff put Kilmore back in front ten minutes into the second-half, and Casper Cullen made sure of the points when he scored in the 64th minute.
