Tom Dempsey: Wexford hurlers fighting for their championship lives after Antrim shock

I must confess that I took a different route on Saturday, electing to attend the All-Ireland Minor camogie shield final in Kilkenny and proceeding from there to a table quiz rather than making the long trek to Corrigan Park to see our hurlers’ second round tie against Antrim.
I rarely miss championship games involving the purple and gold but, on this occasion, I had a vested interest in the backroom team in UPMC Nowlan Park and, given the effort put in by all, I decided to support our gallant girls in their bid to reach the promised land.
