Co Wexford man’s charity boxing night raises €3,000 for mental health organisation
A charity boxing event organised by a young Enniscorthy entrepreneur has raised €3000 for a mental healthy charity. Mick Abidoye, who runs the social media Created in Éire, set up the event to raise funds for Shannon’s Hopeline, a charity which aims to prevent suicide and reduce stigma by providing resources and support to those in need.
Entitled Ard Ríocht the boxing night was held in the grounds of Dublin football club Bluebell FC late last month and featured Mick at the top of the bill in a bout for the King of the Ring middleweight belt. Mick faced off against Naoise McKenna and secured a victory on a night which was all about supporting charity.
Mick Abidoye has lived in Enniscorthy for most of his life but is now based in Manchester. Created in Éire (CIE) is an award-winning initiative of his which showcases and promotes Irish content creators, musicians, and businesses with daily news updates through its social media.
