Legendary Boyne 10k race promises to be biggest and most thrilling event yet

New route for 2024 race on Sunday May 5th

Title sponsors Odd Mollies was the location for the launch as Drogheda & District A.C. proudly presents the much-anticipated return of the Drogheda 10K 2024.

Promising to be the grandest and most thrilling edition yet! Prepare to blaze a trail along the picturesque banks of the River Boyne, immersed in history, and let the spirit of Drogheda inspire you to become a true legend of the town.

The date for your diary is Sunday May 5th at 3pm, when the largest 10k event in the north east will be marking its 15th anniversary. There will be a temporary route for this year due to the closure of the Obelisk Bridge, but the original route will be reinstated next year.

The race will this year go up the Rathmullen road, heading for Sheepgrange, turning right and down toward the canal, then following the route as normal along the river. Full route available on www.ddac.ie/drogheda10k.

“It is a major event for the town that brings a lot of people into the town on the day. It is an event that is very professionally run by Drogheda & District A.C. It is a very positive event for Drogheda especially in light of the negative press the town has got recently”.
