To be fair to the man he was never anything but upbeat, even during the league, even when results were going against him week-on-week.
He wasn’t cock-a-hoop at losing games in Ballycran or Hawkfield, don’t get us wrong, but he was never hang-dog, he always maintained a glass-half-full attitude and, now in the fullness of time, he’s been proven right.
