Munster Technological University (MTU) will host a breakfast event for enterprises and community groups throughout the south west region on Friday, May 10.

The event will be an opportunity for regional businesses and social endeavours to meet with MTU representatives from a broad range of academic departments, research units and project groups to discuss the potential to collaborate.

Speaking ahead of the breakfast event Professor Irene Sheridan from MTU said: “Organisations are increasingly searching for talent and new ideas in a complex, competitive world and universities are charged with supporting regional businesses and social endeavours in a measurable and meaningful way. To achieve these aims and make a difference we have to come together and talk. Connect with MTU is the perfect opportunity for this,” she said.

Professor Sheridan added: “Whether your organisation could benefit from access to expertise in cyber security, a placement student with up-to-date digital marketing skills, participation in an apprenticeship programme, a customised course in supervisory management skills or any form of collaboration, this is your opportunity to meet with the experts and consider how to progress the interaction.”

There will be a series of workshops and lab tours on offer on the day as well as the opportunity to talk informally. Details and tour options will be shared with registered attendees.

The Connect with MTU event will take place at 7.30am on Friday, May 10 at the Nexus Hall, MTU Bishopstown Campus and it is free to attend.
