Air Canada flight forced to make emergency landing at Dublin Airport

The flight, which took off from Venice and was en route to Montreal, was forced to land as a result of a hydraulics issue which impacted steering, according to Shaun Dunne, who runs Shaun's Aviation on X.

The aircraft landed at approximately 6.50pm yesterday and was met by fire crews in Dublin who inspected the plane, the posts said.

The hydraulics issue caused the plane to lose nose steering and was unable to leave the runaway and required a tow to stand.

Videos and images posted on social media showed fire crews awaiting the plane’s arrival at Dublin Airport and the plane being towed away from the runway.

The issue also caused a leak on one of Dublin Airport’s runways which meant the runway was unable to reopen to other flights.
