Radio reviews: From death in Kerry to Dolly Parton in Dingle

'Cowboy Carter' by Beyoncé has divided opinion

Thanks to the old internet, you can listen to “local” stations many miles away, such as Radio Kerry and its Kerry Today programme presented by Jerry O’Sullivan. It is exemplary, especially if you prefer your current affairs coverage to have a southern accent.

But there is also an exemplary show just before Kerry Today, and that is the Death Notices (Radio Kerry, daily). They’re not hiding this away in a quiet place, it comes straight after Kerry’s Full Breakfast at about 9am. And it goes on for a fair while – though I suppose that is subject to change, depending on how many Kerry people go on living on any given day.
