Laura Bryant, 25, from north Dublin, recently had to deal with the death of a beloved musician friend and now she wants to honour his memory by following her passion to become a DJ.

The Trinity College graduate has been working in banking and is DJing as a hobby. However, in a bid to pay tribute to her friend, she’s now determined to follow a path to becoming a DJ.

“Very recently and very sadly a dear friend of mine passed away and he was a musician,” Ms Bryant told the Irish Independent.

“It wasn’t his full-time job, it was something he was doing on the side.

“Just knowing that’s he’s not going to create anything more, even to know he’s not going to hear another song - it reminded me that you’ve got to do these things while you can.

“I will miss my friend Ralph so much, he was that person who would hype you up so much…

“Through his passing I’m really trying to keep alive the love that he gave me and all his friends…”
