Team news, odds and verdicts – your complete guide to tonight’s League of Ireland fixtures

League of Ireland preview

Aidan Fitzmaurice

Bohemians v Shamrock Rvrs

(Dalymount Park, 7.45)

Team news: Bohs are missing Keith Buckley and Rob Cornwall. Rovers hope to add at least two from Jack Byrne, Markus Poom, Seán Hoare, Rory Gaffney and Neil Farrugia back to their squad but Lee Grace, Richie Towell, Aaron McEneff, Gary O’Neill and Graham Burke are absent.

Talking point: Rovers coped with their injury crisis to beat Drogheda on Monday, as their teens stood up, but Bohs away is a different level of test. Alan Reynolds is likely to shake up his side after a sub-par effort in Dundalk. Bohs will look to dominate midfield.

Ref: Damien MacGraith

Odds: Bohs 3/1, Rovers 5/6, Draw 5/2

Verdict: Draw

Dundalk v Shelbourne

(Oriel Park, 7.45)

Team news: Dundalk are without Robbie Mahon and Ciarán McGuckin. Shels recall Shane Farrell and Paddy Barrett from suspension.

Talking point: Dundalk’s home record is sturdy and Noel King has had another week to make his mark on the squad, but the trickery of Reds men like Liam Burt and Matt Smith can open up the hosts.

Ref: Eoghan O’Shea

Odds: Dundalk 9/4, Shels 11/8, Draw 19/10

Verdict: Away win

Galway United v Derry City

(Terryland Park, 7.45)

Team news: Galway lose Rob Slevin to suspension. Derry are still missing Sadou Diallo, Patrick McEleney, Cameron Dummigan and Colm Whelan.

Talking point: Derry banked their first away win of the season at Waterford last week, so they travel with some confidence. But Galway give up few chances in home games.

Ref: Rob Hennessy

Odds: Galway 9/4, Derry 5/4, Draw 21/10

Verdict: Draw

Sligo Rovers v Waterford

(Showgrounds, 7.45)

Team news: Sligo assess Simon Power and Max Mata. Waterford have concerns over Harvey Macadam and Ryan Burke.

Talking point: With two points from their last five games, Sligo’s season is in danger of slipping away – especially as Dundalk look poised for a revival – and Waterford have the attacking options to get another win on the road.

Ref: Gavin Colfer

Odds: Sligo 6/5, Waterford 11/5, Draw 11/5

Verdict: Away win

St Pat’s v Drogheda United

(Richmond Park, 7.45)

Team news: Jamie Lennon is suspended for Pat’s, with Joe Redmond out for a spell with injury. Ruairí Keating and Mason Melia are injury worries. Drogheda defender Jack Keaney is suspended, Evan Weir is still out, but Andrew Wogan is fit again.

Talking point: It is the second Dublin date in five days for United, who lacked guile in their loss to Shamrock Rovers on Monday. The Saints are weakened by the absence of that Redmond/Lennon spine, but Drogheda are still far too open at the back.

Ref: Declan Toland

Odds: Pat’s 8/11, Drogheda 7/2, Draw 5/2

Verdict: Home win
