God grant me the confidence of a mediocre Englishman. Former FAI CEO’s Jonathan Hill resignation statement was so full of self-praise you’d wonder why he’s leaving us at all. The truth is that his time in charge was a disaster which seriously damaged an organisation that could ill afford further setbacks.
The holiday pay issue did not finish Hill. It wouldn’t have been a fatal blow had he done a good job otherwise. Given everything else it just put the tin hat on things.
