Neil Ewing: The bandwagoner is why Mayo are in football purgatory
Mayo are in purgatory and I am struggling to understand why I am not enjoying it more. I hate Mayo. Always have and, I expect, always will.
It is a respectful GAA type of hate for a more successful neighbour. This latent but ultimately healthy begrudgery fuels most clubs and counties around the country to improve on and off the pitch so I am happy to admit my sporting hate for Mayo.
