Wicklow RNLI and Arklow RNLI were both involved in a joint-exercise on Sunday, April 14, starting with a towing exercise.

The second part of the collaboration saw both crews provided with the opportunity of experiencing each others rescue boats, with the Wicklow crew getting the chance to see the Trent class up close and personal, while the Arklow crew had a look around Wicklow RNLI’s Shannon class lifeboat. With the Arklow crew set to receive a Shannon class lifeboat later this year it was a great chance for them to observe the capabilities of the boat.

Congratulations are also passed onto Wicklow RNLI volunteer Deirdre Ross who received her first aid certification from coxswain Nick Keogh after undergoing her training.
