This Wicklow Schools Junior Boys Shield final was a real nip-and-tuck battle between two really evenly matched teams from Greystones Community College and Coláiste Ráithín.

The half-time score saw Coláiste Ráithín leading the Greystones students by 1-5 to 1-4, with Greystones Community College goalkeeper Javier really keeping them in it with some excellent saves.

The second half was an end-to-end battle with both teams trading points and goals, both missing penalties after excellent saves and, in the end, Greystones Community College ran out winners by the smallest of margins, a point.

The final score was Greystones Community College 4-4, Coláiste Ráithín 2-9.

Best for the Greystones side on the day were Javier Molinia in goals, Dominic Awobajo at full-back and William Cash at 11.

Strong performances from Seán de Craig, Daire Mac Thomáis and Aodhán Heaney for Coláiste Ráithín, Lorcan Ó Néill scoring both of their goals on the day.
