Offaly 4-9

Wicklow 1-6

Early goals from Offaly’s Roisin Ennis and Emma Hand had the Wicklow ladies on the back foot in their final Leinster Intermediate football championship clash in Tullamore on Sunday.

The Garden County side end their provincial campaign without a win having lost to Wexford, Westmeath and the Faithful County.

Top scorer for the visitors yet again was Sinead McGettigan who finished with 1-3 (two frees).

McGettigan’s goal came deep inside first-half injury-time and the major gave the visitors a glimmer of hope, but it wasn’t to be.

They now turn their attention to the All-Ireland series where they will face the winners of Roscommon and Leitrim and Tyrone.
