The Ennio Morricone Experience, a tribute to the late maestro of film music who wrote over 400 film compositions in his lifetime, is coming to The Source Arts Centre in Thurles.

Experience the magic of The Morricone Experience. This live concert will highlight prolific film composer Ennio Morricone’s masterpieces, bringing the audience on a journey in celebration of the Maestro’s great contribution to music and cinema.

Along with his own pieces from films such as The Good, The Bad and the Ugly, The Mission, Once Upon a Time in the West, A Fistful of Dollars and Cinema Paradiso, the glittering ensemble of piano, string trio and singers - led by Annalisa Monticelli with soprano Katy Kelly - will perform compositions which were inspired by his genius, and selections by contemporaries like Rota and Piovani.

The ensemble comprises acclaimed solo international artists residing in Ireland. Featured on RTÈ’s Arena, this ensemble has played to sold-out crowds across the country and are coming to The Source to spread the musical gospel of the late Italian Maestro.

“Morricone has written some amazing vocal compositions, and it’s really exciting to share the versatility of the music he has written for voice with you all,” said Soprano Katy Kelly.

Advance tickets for all shows are available online at www.thesourceartscentre.ie or by phone from the Box office on 0504 90204. Date: Saturday, October 5. Doors open at 8pm. Tickets are €30 plus fees.
