There are very few towns in Ireland that compare with Abbeyfeale when it comes to love of the doggy game, track and field, and it was an Abbeyfeale owner, Michael Murphy, who landed the handsome purse of €1,800 with his charge, Leahys Sysco, in the final of an A5 525 sweepstake at Tralee Track last Friday night.

It is a real rarity to have a winner’s purse of €1,800 for an A5 sweepstake and full credit to the Kerry Greyhound Owners and Breeders Association, under Brendan Maunsell, for its generous sponsorship of the sweepstake.
