Man accused of killing brother and attempting to kill father in Cork found not guilty by reason of insanity

A man who told gardaí that he killed his younger brother and attempted to kill his father whilst under the influence of “airwave manipulation” is to continue to be treated at the Central Mental Hospital (CMH) after he was found not guilty by reason of insanity.

John Murphy Jnr (44) of Seaview in Carrigaline, Co Cork went on trial in the city last month charged with the murder of his younger brother Shane.
