I was only 17 when I did my Leaving Cert in 2014, and I had a few careers in mind – nursing, politics, human rights – something where I could advocate and make changes.

And then my older sister had a baby in Drogheda and she had such amazing care through her pregnancy. I saw how important midwives were to her experience.
